A Different Semester

My 5th semester in NUS is different from my previous semesters. For one, I no longer stay in Tembusu College, but instead in this godforsaken place called PGP. I can rant on and on about how PGP is so much worse compared to the Tembusu College or any other Residential College at UTown (University Town), but that's not really the focus of this post. Instead, this semester also marks my first time of taking purely Computer Science (CS) mods. Read more

Some of you may have realised that I wrote a files downloader for the brand-new LumiNUS. Check it out here if you haven't! So, just like most entities with an old full-stack website, NUS has decided to upgrade its LMS (Learning Management System) from the full-stack IVLE to the separate frontend-backend LumiNUS! All new and shiny! At that time, I wasn't excited by this since IVLE worked just fine, and I just wrote NUSIVLEBot, a telegram bot for push notification of announcements on IVLE. Read more

4 Weeks Developing for iOS

A brief introduction: it is currently my summer break after I finished my freshman year in NUS – and I was able to secure an internship at SEA Group (Garena Online) in the iOS team. I had no experience in owning an Apple device, let alone developing for iOS, so I had to learn a lot of things. For the first 2-3 weeks I was doing my entry tasks. Winter Break

So, my flight back to Singapore is exactly a week from now. Well, to be honest, this holiday has been extremely productive for me. In essence, the five weeks of my winter break is (was): Week 1: Cyberia Camp Week 2: Proyek Malin Week 3: Road trip across Java Week 4: Jogja! Heya readers, So I decided to start blogging more seriously. This blog is most likely gonna be about my life and computing in general. As for the title of the blog, it is actually from a song in Portuguese, “Vamos todos / numa linda passarela / de uma aquarela / que um dia enfim / descolorirá” which means “We are crossing / a beautiful footbridge / painted in watercolour / which will fade someday after all.
